Summary: Germany’s Lufthansa City Center deployed its managed virtual desktop service for travel agencies in a hybrid environment within Equinix’s data centre footprint. The customer used consulting and implementation partner Axians to set up the dedicated servers housed in a colocation environment. It used Equinix’s interconnection services to integrate with the multi-tenant cloud platform of ProfitBricks – also housed in Equinix’s data centre – for scaling and lower latency performance. The customer is housed in a Frankfurt data centre. A good example of a hybrid scenario that opts for a smaller service provider cloud rather than the likes of AWS or Azure.
