Summary: Docker’s Modernize Traditional Application (MTA) programme has been extended to IBM Cloud, having launched in April with Microsoft Azure. As its name implies, MTA is designed to help enterprises migrate legacy apps into hybrid cloud environments, by using automated tooling to containerise existing applictiona without touching the source code or re-architecting the app. Customers can then migrate the now containerised app with Docker’s Container-as-a-Service (CaaS) and Enterprise Edition (EE) solutions. Once in the cloud, the apps can be updated more frequently.
