Summary: VMware launched Secure State as part of its CloudHealth offering. The technology does not come directly from the CloudHealth acquisition, but from capabilities VMware acquired last year through CloudCoreo. Secure State enables real-time threat and vulnerability assessments, along with security and compliance monitoring for AWS and Azure. The idea is to give end users a comprehensive picture of their security posture. Google is set to come in the near term followed by Kubernetes and VMware Cloud on AWS. The CloudHealth service now has 5k customers.
