CoreStack raises $8.5m for cloud governance

Summary: Seattle-based cloud governance platform CoreStack raised $8.5m in Series A funding led by Naya Ventures with participation from existing investor Z5 Capital. It has raised a total of $13m and plans to use the new funds to accelerate product development and expand sales and marketing. It currently has 60 employees in Seattle and India. CoreStack was founded in 2016 and debuted its CoreStack Enterprise platform on Azure Marketplace in 1Q18. It became an AWS Advanced Technology Partner in early 2019. CoreStack works across multi- and hybrid clouds to provide continuous and autonomous governance for compliance, security, operations, cost and use. It claims customers can achieve annual cloud cost savings of 20-60%.
