Summary: Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM) named Azure as the preferred cloud provider for its inHealth precision medicine initiative under a five-year agreement. Precision medicine is an approach that takes into account an individual’s medical history, genes, environment and lifestyle for the treatment and prevention of diseases like cancer or MS. JHM has established 16 Precision Medicine Centers of Excellence for researchers and aims to have 50 within five years. JHM used Microsoft services to develop a precision medicine analytics platform, which provides a secure environment for the collection and analysis of data from various sources. It now plans to use other Azure-based AI, ML and analytics features.
