Summary: AWS confirmed plans to open a new office in Athens, Greece and pointed to increased demand for cloud infrastructure services coming out of the country. Among the public clouds, only Microsoft has confirmed plans to build in-country data centres. Interxion, part of Digital Realty, acquired Lamda Hellix last year and is positioned to start hosting the network, on-ramps and eventually compute and storage infrastructure that is sure to reside in the country for a number of public clouds.
