Summary: Microsoft launched a database migration service for customers to migrate Microsoft and third party SQL Server databases to Azure. It also introduced two new Azure database offerings to help sweeten the pie – Azure Database for MySQL and Azure Database for PostgreSQL – which runs as a service. It comes at a time when Oracle is getting serious about moving customers to its cloud and Microsoft is trying to get out in front with on-boarding tools.
