Summary: UKCloud, formerly Skyscape Cloud, launched Microsoft Azure Stack provided through its UKCloud platform, which provides direct connectivity to all government networks. The UK Public Sector Azure Stack platform will be operated by security-cleared UK nationals and UK data centres, and will extend into the same data centre campuses as Crown Hosting, to support public sector workloads with specific requirements around data sovereignty and privacy. It is the first of a series of new services UKCloud plans to launch this year to deliver hybrid and multi-cloud options and enhance its platform. UKCloud exclusively services the public sector and its platform supports over 220 public sector projects spanning local and central government departments as well as police forces and NHS trusts.
