Summary: The US Department of Defense completed its re-evaluation, and re-affirmed the award, of the $10b JEDI cloud contract to Microsoft Azure. Microsoft still can’t begin working on it due to the injunction order issued in February. This came days after Oracle’s challenges to the contract award were dismissed by the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, which affirmed a lower court ruling that Oracle would not have qualified for the contract so was not harmed by its award to Microsoft. Amazon is not standing down, however, saying it will continue to appeal the ‘politically corrupted’ award.
